Applications are invited from suitable candidates for six months ‘Training Fellowship’ in Bioinformatics under the BTISNET program of DBT in the Distributed Information Sub Center (DISC) facility at NIPGR, New Delhi, under the supervision of Dr. Shailesh Kumar, Scientist, NIPGR.

Essential Qualification:

Traineeship: Candidate having Master Degree or equivalent in Bioinformatics/Biotechnology with strong interest in Computational Biology and First class/division throughout academic career may apply. Preference will be given to candidate with fresh (passed in year 2018) master’s degree.

The positions are purely temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the training period as mentioned above. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above fellowship depending upon the qualification and experience of the candidate. Reservations shall be as per Govt. of India norms. The position may be terminated any time by giving one month notice by either side. The applicants will have no claim implicit or explicit for consideration against any regular position of DISC/NIPGR.

Position for Senior Research Fellow (SRF) under Dr. Gitanjali Yadav May 28, 2018

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up the purely temporary positions of one Senior Research Fellows in the CSIR project entitled “Characterization of 3-Hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl co-enzyme A reductase (HMGR) gene family in Cicer arietinum, and its role in abiotic stress”, under the supervision of Dr. Gitanjali Yadav, Scientist, NIPGR.

(A) Senior Research Fellow (One post): Emoluments as per norms & as sanctioned in the project.

Candidates having M.Sc./M.Tech degree or equivalent interdisciplinary Degree in Life Sciences/Bioinformatics or any other related field with at least two years post- Master’s Degree research experience are eligible to apply. Candidate having experience in the area of computational biology and plant molecular biology techniques will be given preference.

The above position is completely on temporary basis and co-terminus with the project. The initial appointment will be for one year or till the tenability of the project whichever is earlier, which can be curtailed/extended on the basis of assessment of the candidate’s performance and discretion of the Competent Authority. NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above posts depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidates. Reservation of posts shall be as per Govt. of India norms.
