Inviting applications for NIPGR Short-term Research Fellowship Programme

Applications are invited from suitable candidates for filling up (i) One position of Senior Research Fellow (SRF), and (ii) one position of Research Associate (RA) in the Institute with Dr. Ramesh V. Sonti, Director, NIPGR, in the scheme of "Short-Term Research Fellowship" programme. The position is completely on temporary basis with maximum duration of three years. The initial appointment will be for a period of one year, which can be curtailed or extended based on the performance of the candidate and discretion of the Competent Authority.

Qualification:

Research Associate-II (01 post): Candidates having a Ph. D. in any discipline of life sciences with strong publication records are eligible to apply. Candidate should have at least 60% (/equivalent) marks in master degree. Prior work experience in plant molecular biology/plant-pathogen interaction/genome editing related research would be desirable.

Senior Research Fellow (01 post): Candidates having M.Sc./M. Tech degree in any field of Life Sciences with at least 60% (/equivalent) marks in master degree with minimum two-years post M.Sc/M.Tech research experience are eligible to apply. Candidate with prior work experience in plant microbe interactions/biotic stress/genome editing related research would be preferred.

The Fellowship amount for the position will be given at par with the similar fellowships by DBT/DST.
NIPGR reserves the right to select the candidate against the above post depending upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate. Reservation of post shall be as per Govt. of India norms.

Essential Qualification:

The Fellowship amount for the position will be as per rates of similar fellowships by DBT/DST, i.e. 40,000/- +HRA (@30%) per month.

Qualification for Technical Assistant (TA): Graduate Degree in any stream of science with experience in handling MS-office, HTML based web design, and IP based system administration. The candidate should have first class/division throughout academic career. Preference will be given to candidates with fluency in communication and experience in the area of scientific literature mining, phytochemistry and basic computing.
Consolidated Pay: 15,000 per month.
